Theology Curriculum Overview
- Bible I This course is designed to give the students an understanding of various Old Testament books and the history of the Jewish people, from the creation/fall of man through the fall of Jerusalem, including the various major and minor prophets, finishing with the last prophecies of the coming of Jesus Christ. This class will be a history course, detailing the men and women that shaped the Jewish faith and foretold of the One who would come to save the world.
- Bible II This course is designed around the New Testament, specifically the Gospels, Acts, and the various writings of Paul (not including Romans). This class gives the students an intense look at Jesus’ life, focusing on His parables and ministry. The class also covers the early Christian church with Peter and Paul.
- Bible III This course is designed to give the students an understanding of their Christian faith, as well introduce other Christian and world religions. Comparison will be made between the major world religions and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod. This class is designed to give an understanding of other religions to help students understand their Christian place in the non-Christian world.
- Bible IV This course focuses on the development of discerning disciples. The course goal is to help students recognize that there are hollow and deceptive philosophies in this world, and that by the renewing of their minds they might become discerning disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ.
