A Christ-centered environment equipping students for LIFE

STUDENT HANDBOOK

A WELCOME FROM THE PRINCIPAL

Dear NLHS Students:

Welcome to North Lutheran High School! You are indeed a unique group of students. You are some of the pace-setters, the pioneers in a new school, in a school that is in many ways developing and growing but also in many ways outstanding in character, commitment, and competence.

Together we will continue to set standards and traditions for the future. Most importantly, we are centered in Jesus Christ, and together we will worship, learn, grow, and excel in all that we do in this place.

Our theme for this third school year is Ready for Action, and it is based on Ephesians 6:10-11. "Be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power. Put on the full armor of God so that you can take your stand against the devil's schemes."

What encouraging words they are for us who are about to embark on a new journey in a new school for some and in a new school year for others, a journey that will take us through our high school years of learning, laughing, exploring, and crying. A journey that will have its ups and downs. A journey where Satan will forever challenge our faith and our walk with God. God promises that He will keep us secure and safe when we put on the armor He gives through His Word.

We believe that North Lutheran High School is a very special place -- not perfect by any means, but special because you are one of our students. You are one of God's special gifts to this school because God assures you that He will be with you, He will watch over you, today and tomorrow, and forever.

God has richly blessed North Lutheran High School and guided the leaders of this new ministry thus far, and we know He will continue to do do. May we never take all His gifts for granted, but rather use them so that we may all grow together as a Christian family here at North Lutheran High School. Share with your teachers and staff your thoughts, your life, your concerns, your hopes, and your faith. I look forward to serving as your principal.

Sincerely in God's love and peace,

Mr. Kevin Wilaby

Principal
